US 2 to Wandermere

This project is another phase of the North South Corridor (NSC) that will tie the NSC into US 395.  KLB’s work includes retaining walls, road & structure ex, CSBC grading & drainage.

KLB is working on yet another phase of Spokane’s North South Corridor (NSC).  This will be the 4th different phase KLB has worked on & this time the US 395: US2 to Wandermere project will build the section of the NSC between US 395 and Hwy 2.  KLB is a subcontractor of Graham Construction out of Spokane who will be building the large bridge tying the north & south interchange to and from 395 to the large embankment across the Wandermere valley built by KLB during the Gurlach to Wandermere project.

KLB’s earth work includes of over 66,000 sf of MSE retaining walls and 69,000 cy of backfill, 59,000 cy of structure ex, 128,000 cy of roadway ex, 188,000 cy of embankment & 78,000 ton of CSBC.  There is also storm drainage including about 33 structures & about 4,000 lf pipe ranging from 12” to 24”.  KLB’s estimated contract value is about $4.22 million and the scheduled is completion is May, 2011.
